This whole week has been a huge eye opener for me. Some of these experiences have been positive while others have been a disappointment. The first week of college has went way better than I planned on it being, I found some friends to talk to, and became closer with some old friends from my past. However, there have been some goodbyes that have been a weight on me.
Going into PNW I knew that none of my guy friends were coming here and I was going to be alone on the first day with no one to joke around with. Every day i was getting more worried about college and whether or not I would fit in. I've always known at least one good friend going into school, but this year I didn't. However, this loneliness didn't last long, on the first day I found a couple people who had the same interests as me, and we bonded quite well. I even recognized kids from my childhood who I haven't seen in forever.
I'm glad my first week of college went well even with all the unknown college has. I know I will keep meeting new people who will make a positive impact on my life. I can't wait to see what is to come with my future at PNW, but all I know is that it can't be as bad as I pictured it in my head before even going.
